Terms and Conditions
Last updated: June 26, 2026
Welcome to Cosmo Papers (“the App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. The Service
Cosmo Papers lets you browse, preview, favorite, and save wallpapers based on NASA’s Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD), along with related descriptions. An optional paid subscription, Cosmo Plus, unlocks additional functionality such as advanced (natural-language) search and access to the full archive and curated categories.
2. Subscriptions & Purchases
Cosmo Plus is offered as auto-renewable subscriptions (for example, weekly and yearly plans, with an optional introductory free trial), and may also be offered as a one-time purchase. The following applies to auto-renewable subscriptions:
Pricing for each plan and billing period is shown in the App and on the App Store before you confirm, and may vary by region.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase.
Auto-renewal: your subscription automatically renews unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Managing & cancelling: you can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
Free trial (if offered): any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription that includes it.
Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple’s policies; we are not able to process refunds directly.
Use of the App is also governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
3. Intellectual Property & NASA Content
APOD images and descriptions are the property of NASA (and, in some cases, the individual photographers credited), provided through NASA’s publicly available APOD program. Cosmo Papers does not claim ownership of NASA content and does not sell that content. Your subscription pays for the App’s own functionality, curation, and features — not for the underlying images.
Some APOD entries are copyrighted by their authors and are made available for personal, non-commercial use only; you are responsible for respecting those terms. The App’s interface, design, and original content (excluding NASA-provided media) are the intellectual property of the developer.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App for lawful purposes and not to misuse, redistribute, or commercially exploit NASA-provided media beyond what NASA’s terms allow.
5. No Warranty
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the availability, completeness, or accuracy of APOD content at all times.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from your use of the App. You use it at your own discretion and risk.
7. External Services
The App relies on services operated by third parties, including NASA’s APOD API, Apple (In-App Purchase), RevenueCat (subscription management), and Superwall (paywall delivery). We are not responsible for issues with those services, including downtime, errors, or content changes.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
